Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced Process Excellence leader to optimize end-to-end R&D processes and drive cross-functional improvements. You will partner with leadership to implement change management, ensure compliance, and mentor junior team members throughout the lifecycle of key programs.

The role requires strong project management, GxP understanding, and the ability to translate metrics into actionable improvements while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and collaboration

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years industry experience; 8+ with Masters, 5+ with PhD (preferred).
• 8+ years in process management/improvement preferred.
• Strong project management and adaptability skills.
• Experience with metrics for business decisions.
• Expertise in business procedures, GxP understanding.
• Organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership.
• Creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as expert and owner for specific R&D high complexity processes, ensuring oversight and lifecycle maintenance.
• Partners with management to streamline and optimize processes.
• Conducts process reviews/audits, facilitates stakeholder sessions, and ensures compliance activities.
• Defines metrics to measure process health and compliance; collaborates with leadership.
• Identifies risks and escalates them to leadership for mitigation.
• Leads large-scale process improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Mentors junior PELs and drives transformation across organization.
• Tracks performance metrics to sustain improvements over time.
