AbbVie’s R&D Process Engineering Organization seeks a skilled technical leader to drive process development from lab to pilot scale for biologics, peptides, ADCs and genetic medicines. You will lead cross-functional teams, guide novel process technologies, and push scalable manufacturing solutions across pipelines.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Chemical/Bio Engineering with 10+ years in biopharmaceuticals.
• Strong fundamentals in chemical engineering and ability to demonstrate skills.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional process development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust manufacturing processes for biologics and large molecule assets.
• Lead project teams in process development and characterization of new assets.
• Influence process development of toxins, cosmetics active ingredients, and genetic medicines.
• Lead scale-up of laboratory processes in the pilot plant.
• Set project strategies, define responsibilities and timelines in a matrixed team.
• Communicate findings and recommendations across multidisciplinary teams and regulatory teams.
