Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in state government or administrative data initiatives.
• Experience working with state agencies on administrative data initiatives.
• Strong understanding of state decision-making, budgets, procurement, and policy.
• Subject matter expertise in one relevant policy area (e.g., K–12 education, workforce development, human services, or economic mobility).
• Experience leading complex state engagements and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate data governance, policy, and technical considerations for varied audiences.
• Advanced degree preferred or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned policy domains and state engagements, ensuring domain priorities and partner needs are met.
• Define objectives, workstreams, acceptance criteria, and deliverables with state partners and internal teams.
• Direct the substantive work of project teams, managing schedules, budgets, risks, and scope.
• Maintain relationships with state stakeholders and lead cross-functional coordination.
• Incorporate feedback to improve technical assistance and delivery across the state portfolio.
• Support training and other research products as needed.
