Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Director of Operations Program Management for the TeraWave program in California.

You will own the operational execution and PM infrastructure for a multi-satellite manufacturing initiative, leading Subassembly Operations, scheduling, configuration management, and customer terminals, from NPI through high-rate production, with direct executive visibility and a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in operations program management or equivalent in a complex manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing managers and multi-functional teams.
• Proven track record of owning program execution and schedule management at scale.
• Deep understanding of scheduling, BOM management, build material management, and configuration management.
• Experience leading operations for customer-facing hardware programs (terminal or end-user devices).
• Proficiency in governance, reporting cadences, and escalation mechanisms for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Subassembly Operations Program Management, Operations Scheduling, Configuration Management, and Customer Terminals Operations.
• Own production scheduling to reflect capacity, lead times, and program priorities.
• Drive long-lead component risk strategies and supplier pipeline management.
• Oversee cost targets and drive unit cost reductions as production scales.
• Build and lead a high-performing organization across multiple operations domains.
• Establish governance, reporting, and performance metrics for leadership visibility.
