About The Position

We seek an experienced Senior Director of Engineering, MuleSoft, to lead our MuleSoft Developer Experience Tools team. You will deliver AI-powered features and products on our integration platform, leveraging advanced AI methods like LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks to create transformative developer experiences that delight customers and generate business value. You Will Be Responsible For

• Leading a team of 35–40 engineers, including 2–3 managers, ensuring alignment and performance.
• Recruiting, mentoring, and developing top mobile engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Defining and owning the technical vision for MuleSoft developer experience products in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Overseeing the design, development, and delivery of impactful mobile features with a balance of speed and long-term planning.
• Ensuring operational excellence through best practices, monitoring, and technical guidance.
• Driving cross-team collaboration and influencing AI investment strategies.
• Building scalable, extensible architecture and maintaining good development hygiene.
• Collaborating with Support and customers on production issues.

Job Requirements

• 6+ years in engineering leadership, managing teams and complex initiatives.
• Experience leading engineering teams in iPaaS/Integration and delivering high-quality products under rapid development cycles.
• 12+ years in software product and cloud service development.
• Preferred experience with AI integration, such as LLM-based code generation for specific domains and DSLs.
• Related technical degree.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong product design sense, especially around APIs and integration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification is a plus.

In-office expectations are 10 days per quarter for customer support and collaboration.
