Overview

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data and AI Services organization offers a unique opportunity to contribute to building a critical Oracle Cloud Data Service. You will develop strategic plans to meet short, medium, and long-term goals, collaborating with senior management and executives across functional areas. Strong communication, leadership, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical architecture for the Managed Data Platform in collaboration with senior technical staff.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligning with business objectives across Oracle groups and customers.
• Drive innovation in OCI Data Services.
• Manage multiple software engineering teams.
• Build and coach high-performing, geographically distributed teams.
• Establish engineering strategies complying with standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software development experience with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 10+ years in Cloud Operations/Infrastructure Engineering, preferably in a multinational environment.
• 10-15 years leading engineering teams, including managers and senior managers.
• Expertise in Data Services such as Big Data, Data Analytics, NoSQL, or OLTP databases.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage fast-paced environments and collaborate across business units.

Additional Information

Salary range in the US: $141,200 to $338,500 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits. Oracle offers comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. The role is full-time, based on seniority level of Director, within the Engineering and IT sector.
