Job summary

Altera Corporation seeks a seasoned Senior Director of Silicon Hardware Engineering – Boards, Packaging & Reliability to lead a global, distributed team spanning chip package development, board hardware, and silicon power and reliability. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will define multi-year roadmaps, establish KPIs, ensure design-for-manufacturability and test, and drive execution across U.S.

and Asia sites while maintaining product quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years in semiconductor hardware engineering with senior leadership experience.
• Global, cross-functional team management across US and Asia.

Responsibilities

• Lead three core engineering functions: package, board, and silicon power/reliability.
• Define multi-year technical roadmaps, headcount plans, and KPIs.
• Drive execution with design-for-manufacturability/test and supplier management.
• Represent hardware engineering in executive reviews and customer discussions.
