Job summary

Sibelco Group in Charlotte is seeking a Director of Semiconductor Application Engineering to lead the development of our HPQ semiconductor capabilities. You will bridge customer process requirements with product engineering, qualification, and manufacturing, shaping how HPQ materials support customer roadmaps and co-develop next-generation solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; PhD preferred in Materials Science or related fields.
• Typical 10–15 years of experience in semiconductor materials, equipment, or related fields.
• Proven ability translating process requirements into material or component specifications.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and global programs.
• Credibility engaging with equipment OEMs, fabs, and quartzware manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Engage customer technology and align process needs with product engineering, qualification, and manufacturing.
• Map process conditions to HPQ material properties and develop validation plans.
• Co-lead application-specific development with T&I, operations, labs and customers.
• Define testing protocols, acceptance criteria and evidence packages for qualification.
• Monitor semiconductor technology trends to influence roadmaps and competitive positioning.
• Build a central knowledge repository and coach teams in semiconductor applications.
