Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline required.
• 15+ years in business development, program management, or systems engineering in aerospace.
• Experience with government contracting and large civil/commercial space contracts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development initiatives focused on satellite solutions for civil and commercial applications.
• Develop and execute capture strategies for large civil or commercial space contracts.
• Engage with key customer stakeholders to build long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare compelling proposals.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategies.
• Grow existing opportunities and nurture relationships with current customers.
• Create new opportunities by presenting Rocket Lab’s capabilities for satellite solutions.
• Lead or participate in proposal activities including content for technical, cost, and schedule sections.
• Develop relationships across all business levels to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Represent Rocket Lab at industry conferences and customer meetings.
• Travel as needed for business opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
