To serve as a senior leader within the Office of Risk Management and is responsible for enterprise-wide risk data strategy, governance, and system enablement. To provide leadership and oversight for the risk-related information systems, analytics, and data integrity functions that support clinical, operational, regulatory, and enterprise risk management activities across UAB Medicine. This role supports the facilitation and advancement of the enterprise risk management (ERM) program, including coordination of risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting activities in collaboration with executive leadership and key stakeholders. To ensure the accuracy, consistency, integrity, and appropriate use of risk data across the within risk management systems and used across the organization, while promoting integration, standardization, and optimal utilization of available tools and technologies. This position has functional oversight of staff and workflows supporting risk systems, and data entry processes, and works collaboratively with Risk Management leadership, Patient Safety, Compliance, Information Technology, Legal, and operational stakeholders to enable informed, data - driven risk management and decision - making.
Graduate degree in business, insurance, risk management, law, health administration, public administration, or health care field and seven (7) years of health care experience in progressively responsible roles required. Experience with healthcare risk management systems and enterprise data environments required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement. ARM, CPCU, FASHRM, DFASHRM, or CPHQ or CPHRM designation preferred.
