Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking a Senior Director, Revenue Cycle Management to lead end-to-end revenue operations across multiple states during a period of rapid expansion. Reporting into executive leadership, this role owns end-to-end revenue operations, including billing, collections, A/R, denial management, delegated credentialing, and payer enrollment.

The Senior Director will partner with Finance and Clinical leadership to optimize cash flow, reduce revenue leakage, and strengthen payer

Qualifications

• 8+ years in healthcare revenue cycle management.
• Hands-on leadership in delegated credentialing and multi-state payer enrollment.
• Proven success improving cash collections and lowering denial rates.

Responsibilities

• Own the RCM strategy, operating model, and KPIs to maximize collections and drive clean claim performance.
• Lead end-to-end transformation across billing, denial reduction, A/R management, and insurance authorizations.
• Oversee the transition to delegated credentialing, payer enrollment, and senior-level payer escalation and relationship management.
• Partner with Finance and executive leaders on payer contracting, reimbursement strategy, and revenue forecasting.
• Optimize EHR/PM technology (Athena), automation, and outsourced RCM vendor SLAs to ensure accountability.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing RCM organization with clear ownership and operating rhythms.
