Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Director of Pricing Strategy (Retail) to lead pricing, packaging, and monetization for Retail Solutions, spanning Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and dealer software suites.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pricing, Sales, Operations, Consulting, or related field driving product management, strategy, or revenue management.
• Automotive retail, dealer software, or digital marketplace experience preferred.
• Education paths: BA/BS + 12+ years, or Master’s + 10+ years, or PhD + 7+ years, or 16+ years with leadership.
• Strong proficiency in AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, AWS Quick to accelerate contributions and scale deliverables.
• Hands-on experience developing advanced pricing models, proofs of concept, business cases to support pricing decisions.
• Ability to work across functions and organizational levels to deliver results.
• Ability to organize prioritization of workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, SBO, Retail Solution Set Leaders, and Product to develop executable pricing strategies aligned to GTM strategy.
• Provide pricing thought leadership and guidance on pricing models and strategies to key partners.
• Develop strategies, processes, and tools informed by system limitations and market realities.
• Drive pricing analytics, discounts, promotions, rebates, and new monetization approaches.
• Lead collaboration with Retail Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Product on pricing initiatives.
• Govern Retail pricing approvals and exceptions with Deal Management.
• Build a world-class team spanning Retail Consumer and Dealer Solutions.
• Mentor and develop staff and foster knowledge sharing across the business.
