Climate Diplomacy and Security is looking for a Director or Senior Director of Development to lead utility-scale solar and battery projects in the United States. Your mission will involve overseeing the development pipeline, including land acquisition, permitting, and project management.

The ideal candidate will have 7-9 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in renewable energy development. Offering a competitive salary of $185,000 to $240,000 plus comprehensive benefits, this role provides a unique opportunity to impact the clean energy transition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-9 years of experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrated experience in land development, entitlement, permitting, and interconnection.
• Strong understanding of energy markets and renewable energy development in North America.

Responsibilities

• Manage all matters related to real estate for mid- to late-stage projects.
• Acquire all permits needed to construct and operate projects.
• Manage interconnection applications until commercial operation.
• Act as primary gatekeeper for project budget, schedule updates, and risk management.
