Job summary

Samsung C&T America, Inc. is seeking a senior renewable energy project developer to lead all phases of utility-scale solar and related projects across the Western United States.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage interconnection, permitting, and real estate, and drive strategic initiatives to grow our solar portfolio. The role demands 12+ years in energy development, 5+ years in leadership, and deep CAISO/WECC expertise with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of utility-scale renewable energy development experience.
• 5+ years in a senior or director-level role with direct deal accountability.
• Deep expertise in CAISO and WECC energy markets and hands-on experience with interconnection processes (CAISO GIDAP, NV Energy, APS).
• Proven ability to manage CEQA/NEPA, permitting, and regulatory processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills; self-directed and able to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of solar project development including site origination, control, land use, permitting, and interconnection coordination.
• Define and execute development strategy for service territories, prioritizing projects with highest probability of commercial operation.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and milestone trackers; oversee external consultants and real estate activities.
• Develop interconnection strategy in collaboration with internal SMEs and external consultants.
• Travel to project sites, utility offices, and regulatory hearings across the Western U.S.
