Job summary

Priority Power is seeking a Director of Development – Renewables & Storage to lead the creation and delivery of utility-scale energy projects for major industrial and commercial customers. The role requires deep technical knowledge of solar, wind, and storage, plus strong leadership to build high‑performing teams and execute across multi‑stakeholder environments.

You will manage a diverse development portfolio, coordinate with landowners, utilities, and regulators, and travel up to 50% as needed

Qualifications

• 15+ years in utility-scale renewable energy development.
• 8+ years in senior leadership roles managing multiple projects.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
• PE licensing preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and advance utility-scale solar PV and wind projects, including storage.
• Maintain a robust renewables/storage project pipeline.
• Develop and manage project development schedules and budgets.
• Lead project meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide executive-level guidance across land, interconnection, and EPC.
• Oversee development budget and portfolio reporting.
• Lead commercial negotiations on land leases and PPAs.
• Represent Priority Power with customers, utilities, and regulators.
