Job summary

Levo Credit Union in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a Recovery Services Manager to oversee all staff and activities of the Recovery Services department. You will ensure policies meet the credit union’s purpose and member needs, and supervise budgeting and reporting.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance, preparing delinquency and charge-off data, and liaising with attorneys and agencies. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent; or 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collection policies comply with regs and credit union policy.
• Prepare proper loan and account documentation for collections.
• Monitor and document collection policies; train staff accordingly.
• Prepare monthly delinquency, charge-off reports on collections.
• Maintain bankruptcy records and data for NCUA Call Report.
• Analyze collections activity and control delinquency/charge-offs.
• Complete quarterly delinquency and charge-off audits; report trends.
• Review and adjust loan loss allowance; flag uncollectible accounts.
• Approve advanced collection actions related to foreclosures/settlements.
• Review and process related billings for payments.
• Handle legal actions for delinquency, charge-offs, foreclosures.
• Liaise with attorneys, agencies, repo firms, counsel, insurers.
• Oversee bankruptcy filings follow-up with trustees/interveners.
• Ensure courteous member interactions and timely resolutions.
• Manage complex collections cases with Management on goals.
• Prepare and supervise Recovery Services budget; manage costs.
• Develop employee relations; coach and develop staff.
• Direct supervision: interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff.
