Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Director of RWD Data Engineering to lead end-to-end engineering for real-world data infrastructure and associated data products. You will drive scalable, cloud-native pipelines and collaborate across HEOR, SDIA, and medical teams to enable faster, reproducible evidence generation.

You will oversee lakehouse architectures, CI/CD practices, data governance, and cross‑functional delivery while ensuring performance and regulatory compliance across Databricks, AWS, Azure, and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years direct people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud‑native data products and high‑throughput data pipelines.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of RWD data products from requirements through production deployment.
• Optimize SQL and distributed processing workloads for large‑scale datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists, statisticians and analytics leaders to document RWD engineering standards.
