The Penn-Delco School District seeks an experienced, student-centered educational leader for the position of Director of Pupil Services and Special Education. The Director provides districtwide leadership, program development, and regulatory compliance for special education, gifted education, and 504 plans, ensuring equitable, inclusive services for all learners.

Operating under the Superintendent, the role oversees ESY, MTSS, evaluations, and financial stewardship of the budgets and grants,

Formación

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, Education, or related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania Supervisor of Special Education PK-12 certification and/or PA K-12 Principal certification.
• Minimum of five years of teaching or specialist experience in special education.
• Three to five years of supervisory or administrative experience at school or central office level preferred.
• Deep expertise in special education law, pupil personnel services, and program improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Direct, manage, and supervise district special education and pupil services programs in line with IDEA, Chapter 14, Chapter 15/504, Chapter 16.
• Oversee IEPs, 504 service agreements, GIEPs, and due process procedures.
• Coordinate student placements across in-district and out-of-district settings.
• Lead staffing, PD initiatives, and supervision of related service providers.
• Provide instructional leadership and oversight of budgets and grants (IDEA, ACCESS).
• Engage families and community partners to ensure equitable, inclusive services.
