Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Director of Process Development at the Riverview facility. The role leads development of new API processes, ensuring timelines, specifications, and cGMP requirements are met, while coordinating with QA, QC, Engineering and Operations.

You will mentor staff, drive project plans, manage cross-functional teams, and present progress to clients and senior management.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drug development and chemical process R&D.
• Strong knowledge of synthetic chemistry and process development.
• Experience leading R&D teams and project management is required.
• Familiar with FDA cGMP requirements and regulatory affairs.

Responsibilities

• Assess new projects to identify optimal chemical routes and resources for process development.
• Lead and organize Process Development staff and project leadership.
• Ensure timeliness, specifications, and FDA requirements are met; optimize resource use.
• Collaborate with QA, QC, Analytical Development, Tech Transfer, Production and other departments.
• Prepare technical reports, development reports, and participate in client communications.
