Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Director, Engineering - Proactive Offense to lead a multi-team engineering organization in a fast-moving telecommunications and hardware space. This remote role focuses on turning concepts into scalable production, aligning architecture, and driving a clear technical strategy.

You will hire and coach leaders, shape an effective portfolio roadmap, and partner with senior tech leaders to deliver reliable, secure software across SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years leading software engineering teams in SaaS or cybersecurity.
• Proven track record setting engineering strategy in fast-paced environments.
• Strong judgment in software architecture and offensive security.
• Experience taking complex capabilities from concept to production.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Ability to hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication translating complex concepts to clear direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a multi-team engineering organization.
• Translate charter into technical strategy and roadmap.
• Build leadership structure and develop managers and technical leaders.
• Establish goals and operating mechanisms to create visibility across teams.
• Partner with technical leaders on architecture and design decisions.
