Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York seeks a senior private credit investment professional to lead sourcing, underwriting and execution of North America secondaries and co-investments. You will partner with portfolio managers, legal, tax, risk, and operations to scale a growing private credit platform.

This role emphasizes transaction leadership, diligence planning, communication to senior committees, and developing scalable underwriting processes while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in private credit and/or related credit investing/transactions.
• Strong underwriting background across corporate/structured credit with covenants and protections.
• Ability to drive complex, time-sensitive processes with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to present to senior committees.
• Commercial mindset with strong judgment and relationship skills; capable of engaging with GPs and partners.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and execute private credit secondaries (GP-led and LP-led) and co-investments across North America.
• Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including diligence planning, coordination, negotiation support, and closing.
• Conduct detailed trade- and fund-level diligence, including risk, covenants, leverage, and downside scenarios.
• Prepare investment materials and communicate key risks/decisions to senior stakeholders and committees.
• Partner with portfolio managers on construction considerations and post-close monitoring.
• Help build scalable underwriting frameworks and playbooks as the strategy grows.
• Engage with Client Advisor and Consultant Advisor teams and participate in select client discussions.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through deal leadership and best-practice sharing.
