Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a Senior Director of Gift and Estate Planning for the Great Lakes Division. You will lead a team, manage a high-capacity donor portfolio, and drive planned gifts and endowment commitments to support mission impact.

Collaborate with territorial leadership to align priorities, expand growth, and ensure stewardship, data integrity, and transparent reporting across development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum seven years of fundraising experience, including major gifts and planned giving.
• Minimum three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success securing major and planned gift commitments.
• Experience leading fundraising teams and working with volunteers, boards, donors, and professional advisors.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Great Lakes Division Gift and Estate Planning program and sets divisional goals.
• Develops and executes planned giving strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and close gifts.
• Manages high-level donor relationships requiring advanced gift planning expertise.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align donor strategies with organizational priorities.
• Ensures proper stewardship and efficient use of donor data and reporting.
• Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and pipeline management for planned giving.
