Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a Director of Gift & Estate Planning. This role focuses on promoting, developing and securing planned gifts within the Midland Division.

Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hours per week; pay is based on experience. The successful candidate will manage donor relations, coordinating with major gifts and planned giving teams to meet annual goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years proven experience in development/related field with comprehensive knowledge in planned giving.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires working knowledge of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and secure deferred gifts from prospects and donors for Salvation Army services within policies.
• Work with planned giving director to establish annual goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement cultivation and ongoing stewardship of donors using moves management.
