You will lead a multi-year roadmap, drive modernization, ensure availability and regulatory compliance, and develop senior engineers while promoting inclusion and excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Experience delivering mission-critical, high-volume financial platforms, including payments and workflows.
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native apps with microservices, APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to lead modernisation initiatives and improve developer productivity.
• Strong understanding of scalability, resiliency, performance, observability and operational excellence.
• Experience with regulated financial systems, risk, cybersecurity, governance and compliance.
• Ability to influence outcomes in matrixed organisations through partnerships with multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization responsible for payments digital channels and multi-year delivery roadmap.
• Drive platform modernization using cloud-native architecture, micro-frontends, microservices, and APIs.
• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for payments channels, ensuring availability and production readiness.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business outcomes into technology roadmaps and investments.
• Build senior engineering leaders and foster inclusion, accountability and growth.
• Ensure security, resiliency, compliance, data governance and risk management.
• Influence architecture decisions to enable global growth across lines of business.
• Set strategy for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation with guardrails and governance.
