Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Minneapolis is seeking an Associate Director of Operations and Engagement to lead chapter operations across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. You will oversee procurement, facilities, IT, and employee experience, shaping a productive, inclusive workplace aligned with the chapter's priorities.

In this role you will Partner with HR, Finance, Contracts and IT, foster collaboration, and drive change management for multiple projects, while maintaining a strong focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination, including 2 years managing operations functions.
• Experience leading and implementing multiple projects.
• Experience working with teams across an organization.
• Supervisory experience including setting objectives, managing performance, and conflict resolution.
• Experience developing, managing, and implementing goals, plans, and complex processes.
• Experience working in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for chapter operations and ensure staff have facilities, systems, resources, and services.
• Lead and support direct reports and matrixed staff with priorities, coaching, and accountability.
• Strengthen employee engagement, connection, and belonging; oversee onboarding and staff events.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning with HR, Finance, IT, and other service teams; strengthen service delivery.
• Maintain relationships across the Great Plains Division to share best practices and support.
• Lead workplace planning and facilities-related activities, including space planning and tech management.
• Support organizational change initiatives and project implementation; drive adoption of new processes and tools.
