Job summary

The University of the District of Columbia seeks a senior administrator to lead student services for the Law School, reporting to the Dean. The incumbent manages programming on retention, career development, professional and health counseling, and bar admission readiness for Day and Evening students.

Responsibilities include coordinating New Student Orientation, Hooding Ceremony, and Graduation logistics; ensuring ADA accommodations with the Accessibility Resource Center; regular communication

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or other relevant advanced degree from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, legal education, student affairs, or closely related field.
• Demonstrated supervisory and management experience, including leading staff and coordinating across units.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive student programming related to retention, career and professional development, counseling, and bar admission for Day and Evening students.
• Coordinates New Student Orientation and Graduation activities; liaises with University staff on Graduation and Hooding ceremonies.
• Liaises with the Accessibility Resource Center to ensure ADA accommodations for qualified students.
• Maintains regular communication with matriculating students and evaluates the quality and breadth of essential services.

Education
