Our mission is to help individuals maximize mental and physical performance through premium products—including pre- and post-workout supplements, nootropics, energy drinks, and more.

As we continue expanding our retail presence, we’re seeking a strategic, results-oriented sales leader to oversee and grow our Western Region retail operations.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Senior Director of Sales – Western Region will be responsible for driving retail sales performance across the western U.S., with a focus on regional market expansion, key account development, and strategic partnerships. This role will lead a regional sales team, execute high-impact sales strategies, and play a critical role in strengthening Gorilla Mind’s retail footprint in the Western region markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a regional retail sales strategy aligned with national goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities, competitive threats, and consumer trends specific to the Western Region.

Retail Expansion & Account Management

  • Build and expand relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and brokers within the region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for top regional retail accounts, ensuring strong and sustainable partnerships.
  • Negotiate and manage terms, promotional activity, and distribution strategies.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.

Performance Management

  • Set and monitor regional sales KPIs and targets.
  • Analyze sales data and market feedback to optimize tactics and performance.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the executive team on regional results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment on retail initiatives.
  • Share customer and market insights to inform broader business decisions and product development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • 7–10 years of sales leadership experience, with a strong background in retail sales and regional sales management, ideally in beverage, CPG, or supplement industries.
  • Proven success growing retail sales and managing key accounts in the western U.S.
  • Established relationships with major Western region retail chains and distributors.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and hands-on execution ability.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and the Gorilla Mind mission.

Location

  • Based on the Western region; proximity to a major metropolitan hub preferred.
  • Travel required (up to 25%) throughout the western U.S. for customer visits, store checks, and team management.
