Job summary

The American Paint Horse Association seeks a Sr. Director of Operations to lead membership services, registry operations, IT, HR, marketing, and events.

Serving as executive backup to the CEO, you will drive strategic plans, ensure operational excellence, and deliver high-quality experiences for members, exhibitors, breeders, owners, judges, sponsors, and partners. As a senior leader on the Executive Team, you will oversee budgeting, analytics, cybersecurity, and process improvements, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (Business Admin/Nonprofit/Equine) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of senior management experience overseeing multiple departments.
• Strong budgeting, planning, and staff development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational departments: membership services, registry, IT, HR, marketing, customer service, events, and programs.
• Provide executive leadership as backup to the CEO and participate in succession planning.
• Oversee budgeting, analytics, and reporting to drive efficiency and growth.
• Develop KPIs and ensure compliance with rules, policies, and standards.
• Represent the Association at events and with stakeholders to advance the mission.
