Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development – Space

Location: Remote (up to 50% travel)

Compensation: Competitive base $180,000-$220,000 DOE + aggressive performance incentives (1-2x OTE possible)

A high-growth, innovation-driven engineering firm is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to spearhead expansion into fast-evolving spacecraft applications—launch, satellites, landers, and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity for a self-directed, commercially minded individual with a strong Space industry network and the ability to move quickly from concept to contract.

You’ll Succeed If You:

  • Have 10+ years of BD experience and deep knowledge of the Space sector
  • Can develop and execute a go-to-market strategy across primes, OEMs, and emerging players
  • Are skilled in technical consultative sales, contract negotiations, and long-term partnerships
  • Thrive in complex sales cycles involving new product development, qualification, and scaling
  • Know how to simplify technical concepts for customers and influence key stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build pipeline and win new engineering programs
  • Develop growth strategies and identify partnership/M&A opportunities
  • Navigate funding cycles, procurement pathways, and federal programs

Ideal candidates will be entrepreneurial, hands-on, and highly strategic—with the ability to drive $20M+ in annual revenue growth through smart targeting and deep customer insight.
