Job summary

HCRS is seeking a seasoned Director of Benefits to lead the design and administration of our employee benefits programs in Springfield, VT. You will oversee health plans, retirement programs, leave administration, and wellness initiatives while advising executive leadership on financial performance and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance, public administration, or related field.
• At least seven years of progressive experience in benefits administration.
• At least 4 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related regulations.
• Advanced analytical and financial management capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex information and develop practical, strategic recommendations.
• Strong negotiation, contract, and vendor-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience overseeing self-funded health plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, administration, and improvement of benefits programs.
• Provide strategic oversight of health plans, retirement programs, and leave administration.
• Advise executive leadership on benefits strategy, financial performance, risk, and workforce needs.
