Capital One seeks a Senior Director of Software Engineering - CTO for Auto Refinance to lead a high-impact, AI-enabled engineering organization responsible for the end-to-end lending platform.

You will drive architecture, platform roadmaps, and cross-functional partnerships across Credit Strategy, Product, Legal, and Enterprise Platform teams, delivering scalable, compliant, high-performance financial software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in people management.
• Minimum 9 years in software engineering and solution architecture.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency platforms in consumer finance.

Responsabilités

• Own the technology stack across the lending lifecycle end-to-end.
• Hold accountability for technology capital allocation and roadmaps.
• Lead multiple product-focused software engineering teams in Agile.
• Design and deliver destination architecture with real-time valuation engine.
• Scale automated funding pipelines with robust verification and error handling.
• Modernize data architecture to feed marketing engine with pre-application offers.
• Lead AI-native transformations, deploying AI tooling to reduce defects.
