Senior Director of Accounting

Job Summary:

The ideal Senior Director of Accounting candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and have excellent analytical, technology and communication skills. The Senior Director of Accounting is a member of the senior management team and the position is located at our corporate headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the financial processes including accrual preparation, reconciliations, forecasting and financial reporting
• Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of data in the accounting system
• Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews of revenue and expense categories in order to properly forecast year-end financial statements
• Manage cash flow, perform short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts
• Oversee proper tax filings
• Maintain strong bank relationships
• Work with outside auditors
• Perform other analysis and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum 10 years of Accounting or Finance experience required
• Experience with International accounting preferred
• Must be skilled in financial management (budget, forecasting, expense management, financial modeling/ analysis)
• Experience with Microsoft Office, strong working knowledge of Excel required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Excellent leadership skills required
• Ability to interface with executive and senior management required
• Strong time management and organizational skills required
• Must possess analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Accounting software applications experience; NetSuite preferred
