Job summary

NCAA Associate Director of Research for Academics will lead studies on the academic experiences of NCAA student-athletes to inform legislation and education efforts. The associate director will take the lead in research design, analyses and serve as a key communicator of findings to varied audiences.

The associate director works directly with NCAA members, staff and other relevant parties to apply research insights to inform policymaking.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; PhD preferred.
• Advanced skills in quantitative research design and statistics.
• Experience with large research databases and higher education data.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects on student-athlete academic performance.
• Disseminate results and inform policy to NCAA committees and members.
• Communicate findings to diverse audiences including lawmakers and media.
• Develop and oversee research design, analyses and reporting.
