Job summary

High Country Private Equity is seeking an experienced Director of Asset Management to lead a growing multifamily portfolio across the Western U.S. This role emphasizes independent ownership of asset-level performance, directing third-party managers, and implementing strategic plans to drive investor returns.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong multifamily background, financial acumen, and CapEx/renovation experience to manage operations, budgets, and capital projects with high visibility

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of relevant real estate experience with significant independent asset management responsibility.
• Strong experience managing multifamily assets, ideally including value-add strategies.
• Proven ability to independently manage assets and direct third-party property management teams.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business-plan execution skills.
• Construction, renovation, development, and/or CapEx management experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive investment performance and execute strategic business plans across a multifamily portfolio.
• Independently oversee asset-level operations, budgets, leasing strategies, and financial performance.
• Direct and hold third-party property management teams accountable for operational and financial goals.
• Identify and implement revenue-enhancement and expense-containment initiatives.
• Oversee capital expenditure and renovation projects, including budgets, contractor bids, timelines, and site inspections.
• Prepare financial analyses, asset-level forecasts, performance reports, and investor updates.
• Evaluate asset performance and disposition strategies to maximize investor returns.
• Support acquisitions, due diligence, refinancings, and dispositions as needed.
