Job summary

Irving Knight Group is seeking a Senior Director of Operations to lead multi-site Fire Protection & Suppression manufacturing across North America, delivering safety, quality, throughput and cost improvements while aligning with strategic goals.

You will manage plant leaders, drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives and capital projects, and partner with engineering, quality, supply chain and finance to ensure on-time delivery and profitable growth. Travel 30–40% required.

Qualifications

Progressive operations leadership in Fire Protection & Suppression Manufacturing.
Multi-site leadership incl. plant managers or site directors.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or related field.
Experience with fire protection products and regulated components.
Knowledge of UL, FM, NFPA or other industry approvals.
Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt; strong Lean manufacturing knowledge.
Experience with ERP and MES; capital projects and automation.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing performance across multiple North American facilities.
Oversee plant operations, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost control and capital investment.
Establish standards for safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost.
Develop and lead high-performing operations leadership teams.
Ensure compliance with product certifications and regulatory requirements.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with engineering and quality on NPI, design changes and manufacturability.
Deliver capital expenditure plans for automation and facility improvements.
