Job summary

College of American Pathologists (CAP) seeks a Senior Director, Member Experience and Growth to provide enterprise leadership for CAP's membership growth, retention, engagement, and international market development. This role aligns membership, education, professional development, community, and digital experiences with organizational strategy.

You will lead integrated planning across the member lifecycle, translate market shifts into portfolio priorities, and advise where CAP should invest,

Qualifications

• Fifteen years in membership, member or customer experience, growth strategy, or related field.
• Ten years in leadership managing managers, multidisciplinary teams, or cross-functional portfolios.
• Experience with councils, boards, committees, or volunteer governance structures.
• Growth, retention, lifecycle, and engagement strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Healthcare, medical associations, or pathology/laboratory medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Membership Growth, retention, and lifecycle strategies aligned with CAP priorities.
• Own enterprise member experience and lifecycle across the pathology career continuum.
• Guide portfolio planning and investments for Education, Publications, and member experience.
• Oversee international growth, ambassadors, and market development initiatives.
• Coordinate with councils, committees, and cross-functional teams to align member needs.
• Establish dashboards for recruitment, conversion, renewal, and financial performance.
