Job summary

Tethered Talent seeks a Director of Supply Chain to lead strategy and execution for procurement, sourcing, inventory planning, and supplier management in a fast-growing medical equipment services environment.

You will partner with Sales, Operations, Service, and Finance to translate demand into actionable sourcing and stocking strategies, ensuring availability of equipment, parts, and services while improving cost and continuity of supply.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or related fields.
• Experience in medical equipment, devices, or healthcare services preferred.
• Direct purchasing/procurement experience involving ultrasound, diagnostic imaging systems, capital equipment, or service parts.
• Leadership experience of buyers, procurement professionals, or inventory staff.
• Experience applying supply chain practices in entrepreneurial, fast-paced environments.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the buying team responsible for procuring medical equipment and parts to fulfill sales orders and maintain inventory across ultrasound and diagnostic imaging categories.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to refine demand forecasts and secure required equipment and parts.
• Lead inventory planning, stocking policies, asset planning, item-level sourcing strategies, and cross-functional planning meetings.
• Identify supply chain risks, capacity gaps, and sourcing constraints; drive cross-functional solutions.
• Pursue opportunistic sourcing through hospitals, auctions, brokers, and secondary-market channels.
• Time procurement activities to support sales flow, service demand, and commitments while minimizing delays.
• Manage supplier performance across pricing, quality, availability, on-time delivery; develop new supply sources.
• Improve supply chain processes, reporting, and organization as the business grows.
• Oversee facility-level inventory controls with cycle counts and accuracy.
