Job summary

Professional Employment Group seeks a strategic, hands-on Director of Supply Chain to lead and scale supply chain operations for a growing medical device contract manufacturer. You will oversee procurement, supplier management, inventory, warehousing, and logistics across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities include developing global sourcing strategies, negotiating terms, and ensuring material availability for NPI and transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or operations within manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading purchasing/procurement teams.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred (medical devices, life sciences).
• Strong negotiation, supplier development, and risk management experience.
• Experience sourcing electronics, PCB/PCBA, metals, plastics, or other components valued.
• Solid understanding of ERP/MRP, inventory planning, and material availability.
• Experience supporting NPI or product transfers preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate strategically while hands-on in a growth manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with growth, commitments, cost objectives, and production needs.
• Lead purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, inventory, and materials across locations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts with suppliers.
• Develop domestic and global sourcing strategies for key components.
• Identify, onboard, and develop new suppliers; strengthen existing relations.
• Drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and lead-time improvements.
