Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Technical Director – Engines to lead in-house teams responsible for major marine engine overhauls aboard our cruise vessels.

The role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, planning, and coordination to deliver cost-efficient, safe, and high-quality work. You will collaborate with Technical Superintendents, shipboard engineers, and classification societies, report to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience overhauling large marine diesel or dual-fuel engines, cruise ships preferred.
• Hands-on experience with MAN and/or Wärtsilä engine systems; OEM training favored.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engine overhaul projects aboard cruise vessels.
• Manage riding teams, scheduling, training, and resource allocation.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to standards.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and liaison with superintendents and classification societies.
• Develop reports and best practices for fleetwide standardization.
