TransMedics, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead Advanced Operations, Sustaining Engineering, and Process Engineering. You will drive transformation, scale manufacturing, and ensure product quality while building a high-performing team on the factory floor and in design offices.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in medical devices leadership, a track record of regulatory compliance, and a hands-on approach to solving floor-level issues and launches at risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 15+ years of progressive leadership in medical devices or regulated manufacturing.
• MBA preferred; experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through growth and transformation.
• Regulatory compliance expertise and strong financial acumen relevant to capital projects.
• Experience leveraging MES/ERP and digital tools to improve manufacturing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering organization across Advanced Operations, Sustaining, Process Engineering, and Technical Field Service.
• Drive multi-year transformation to enable growth, efficiency, and scalability.
• Ensure product quality, process performance, and manufacturing reliability on a world-class level.
• Embed DfX principles and advance automation, robotics, and innovative processes.
• Develop and inspire top engineering talent and maintain hands-on leadership when needed.
