Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Development to lead inorganic growth through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships. You will guide complex transactions end-to-end from evaluation to integration, coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering executive-ready recommendations in a hybrid setup in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field.
• 12+ years in transaction execution, corporate development, M&A, or related leadership.
• Experience leading complex transactions from evaluation through execution and transition.
• Strong financial analysis, valuation, accounting, and business judgment.
• Ability to influence executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management and execution discipline.
• High integrity, discretion, professionalism, and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise inorganic growth strategy across M&A, divestitures, reins, investments, and partnerships.
• Develop and manage the opportunity pipeline with theses and market dynamics.
• Evaluate opportunities for strategic fit, financial impact, capital implications, and risk.
• Lead complex transactions end-to-end from evaluation to transition planning.
• Oversee valuation, financial analysis, and capital-allocation frameworks.
• Advise senior leadership and governance committees with executive-ready recommendations.
• Align cross-functional leaders around due diligence and execution priorities.
• Represent the company with advisors, reinsurers, and industry participants.
• Guide integration, separation, and value-capture planning.
• Build Corporate Development capabilities and discipline.
