Job summary

U.S. Bank Capital Markets Loan Syndicate, Sales & Trading seeks a Deputy Head of Loan Syndicate to drive strategy, oversee trading and sales, manage risk, and deepen client engagement.

This senior role partners with the Head of Loan Capital Markets to shape market approach, excellence in execution, and revenue growth across the platform. Lead across Syndicate, Trading, Sales, and analytics; ensure governance with Risk, Compliance, and Finance; oversee pricing, investor feedback, and market color

Qualifications

• Senior-level Loan Syndicate, Sales & Trading professional with 20+ years of experience across pro‑rata middle market, non-investment grade/leveraged markets and investment grade corporate markets.
• Strong credit training and structuring experience are required; Leveraged Finance experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership with a track record of revenue generation.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute business strategy with growth initiatives and market positioning.
• Provide leadership across Syndicate, Trading, Sales, and analytics functions; foster a high-performance culture.
• Manage risk exposure, liquidity provision, and pricing strategy to optimize profitability.
• Oversee trading activity and portfolio positioning across syndicated loan products.
• Deliver real-time market insights and pricing intelligence to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Origination on new issue distribution and execution; provide investor feedback and market color.
• Lead active coverage of bank and institutional investor accounts, sourcing opportunities and distribution.
