Job summary

Sandy Hook Promise Foundation is seeking a Senior Director, Learning Architecture, to design and operationalize high-impact professional learning for educators and OST professionals. The role drives a long-term vision for scalable, accessible learning across asynchronous, virtual, and in-person modalities, ensuring fidelity and impact.

The leader translates research into practical, user-centered solutions, oversees train-the-trainer programs, and partners across teams to advance program

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, developing, and writing professional learning for educators.
• 10+ years with K-12 school systems and OST programs.
• 5+ years managing contractors and external partners.
• Experience translating research into practical educator tools.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience creating culturally responsive, trauma-informed learning materials.
• A professional learning sample may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the strategic vision for SHP's professional learning architecture.
• Translate strategy into actionable plans, roadmaps, metrics, and accountability.
• Oversee design and improvement of educator-facing materials and tools.
• Manage external experts and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Align materials with program implementation teams.
• Lead train-the-trainer systems and scalable professional learning offerings.
• Direct SHP Learning Studio offerings to meet evolving educator needs.
• Ensure learning experiences follow adult learning principles and goals.
• Partner across teams to integrate learning into training models.
• Lead annual planning and monitor progress with leadership.
• Use data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
• Pilot and refine offerings with Evaluation and Quality Improvement teams.
• Establish KPIs related to engagement and outcomes.
• Collaborate across departments to advance priorities.
• Remain committed to SHP’s mission and values.
