Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Director, Leadership Recruiting to partner with senior executives and hiring managers to attract and hire leaders who will shape Lilly’s future. You will lead a team, drive strategy, and expand leadership recruiting globally.

You will report to the AVP, Global Talent Acquisition and focus on the US with potential global expansion, leveraging AI to enhance candidate experience and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of recruiting or HR experience.
• Experience leading people.
• Executive presence and credibility to influence beyond positional authority.
• Proven ability to challenge and influence senior leaders.
• Track record of leading projects from idea through execution with enterprise or team impact.
• Strong strategic thinking, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead leadership searches across senior director and VP levels.
• Build search strategies based on business priorities and market conditions.
• Find and engage passive talent through direct sourcing and networks; present strong slates to hiring managers.
• Represent Lilly with senior candidates, communicating mission, strategy, and culture.
• Run high-touch processes with regular updates to candidates and managers.
• Lead offer strategy, negotiation, and close in partnership with Executive Compensation.
• Partner with search firms and Talent Acquisition teams as needed.
• Lead and develop the leadership recruiting team; set expectations for quality, speed, and stakeholder experience.
