Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or similar field
• 8+ years of experience in GAAP accounting for mortgage loans, debt/equity securities and derivative instruments
• Knowledge of portfolio accounting, including loan securitizations and securities accounting
• Proficiency in month/quarter/annual closings for US GAAP financial statements
• Occasional travel required to clients and FTI office(s)
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

Responsibilities

• Review and assist with the preparation of monthly accounting packages for portfolios of residential mortgage loans, commercial real estate loans and debt/equity securities
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, including footnote disclosures, under US GAAP and SEC reporting
• Advise clients on accounting elections and treatment alternatives for investments, derivatives, securitizations, and borrowings
