Job summary

Tapestry, Inc. seeks an experienced in-house litigator to provide legal advice and manage disputes across the organization, including regulatory, employment, privacy, commercial, intellectual property, brand protection and personal injury litigation.

The successful candidate will direct outside counsel, oversee litigation strategy and budgets, and work with business units to align legal objectives with company priorities. NY State Bar admission and 12+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience with demonstrated litigation experience in-house, at a law firm and/or with the government.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts for business teams; manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and direct outside counsel on litigation matters to align with company objectives.
• Handle and manage litigation across regulatory, employment, commercial, IP, brand protection, privacy, TCPA and personal injury areas.
• Provide counsel to business units on litigation exposure and risk; advise on strategy.
• Represent company interests in administrative, court, arbitration and mediation proceedings.
• Prepare and review a variety of legal documents and agreements; oversee eDiscovery and preservation.
• Manage litigation budgets and monitor industry trends and risk.
• Work with Legal Department leadership on cross-functional projects and policy development.
