Job summary

Tapestry is seeking a Vice President, Deputy General Counsel to join the Office of the Legal Department. This senior role oversees North America litigation, employment law, regulatory matters, and enterprise ethics across a lean organization.

You will partner with the CLO and senior leadership to mitigate risk, provide practical advice, and drive a proactive legal and compliance culture. Autonomy and collaboration across functions are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and NY bar in good standing.
• Minimum 15 years of legal experience focusing on litigation, investigations, and compliance, with senior in-house leadership.
• Significant hands-on experience across all litigation phases, including trial prep.
• Strong employment law experience and ability to advise on day-to-day employment issues.
• Experience coordinating cross-border investigations and managing data privacy considerations across jurisdictions.
• Proven leadership in building and running an ethics and compliance program.

Responsibilities

• Lead litigation and disputes strategy for North America, with global coordination where needed.
• Advise HR and business leaders on employment-related disputes and internal investigations.
• Oversee regulatory readiness, enforcement responses, and enterprise ethics program governance.
• Partner with operations and risk to design compliant policies and scalable controls.
• Lead legal operations, including matter management, templates, and reporting.
