Job summary

Trinity Health MI seeks a Director of Facilities and Engineering to oversee the Ann Arbor, Livingston, and Chelsea hospital facilities, ensuring safe, compliant operations and strategic alignment with goals. This leadership role directs a broad team and manages major capital projects.

Responsibilities include budgeting, master planning, energy management, and coordinating with Planning and Construction Services to drive growth and efficiency across Trinity Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, with a concentration in Business Administration.
• Ten years of progressive leadership in health care facilities and capital projects.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations from accrediting and governmental bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Ann Arbor and related facilities are maintained in safe, efficient, and proper operating condition.
• Supervise Chelsea and Livingston facilities directors and develop leadership.
• Formulate and approve short- and long-term goals, plans, and budgets for Facilities and Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with Environment of Care, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee master plan updates and capital construction projects in concert with Planning and Design.
• Lead cost/benefit studies and recommend improvements including equipment purchases.
• Participate in Trinity Health-wide planning and governance.
• Develop and implement policies for facilities construction and energy management.
• Oversee vendor negotiations and major procurement decisions.
