Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor (THAA) seeks a Manager, Facilities & Engineering to lead the planning, design and construction of capital projects, align operations with hospital goals, and oversee the Facilities and Engineering division.

This role manages the operating budget, negotiates major contracts, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while guiding site master planning and energy management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical or electrical engineering, Construction Management, HVAC, or similar; business admin concentration preferred.
• Approximately ten years of leadership experience in health care facilities and capital projects.
• Experience negotiating major operational equipment contracts and interfacing with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Trinity Health Ann Arbor is maintained in a safe, efficient, and proper operating condition.
• Develops and approves short- and long-term goals, objectives, plans, and budgets for Facilities and Engineering.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local safety and environmental requirements.
• Oversees the site master plan updates and capital construction programs.
• Leads vendor negotiations and large equipment purchases and maintenance contracts.
• Represents THAA to government or accreditation agencies on Facilities and Engineering matters.
