Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan seeks a Director of Facilities and Engineering to provide executive oversight for Ann Arbor, Livingston, and Chelsea hospitals. You will lead a broad portfolio including Environment of Care, Engineering, Building Services, and Clinical Engineering liaison roles, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

You will supervise multiple site directors, drive capital projects, and align operations with strategic goals while managing budgets and vendor

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering practices in healthcare facilities and clinical engineering management.
• Equivalency in industry leadership considered in lieu of formal degree (10 years in leadership).
• Thorough knowledge of codes, regulations and budgeting in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight to Facilities and Engineering for Ann Arbor, Livingston, and Chelsea hospitals.
• Oversee alignment of facilities operations with Trinity Health goals and strategic objectives.
• Formulate and monitor annual budgets; authorize purchases and maintenance contracts.
• Lead capital planning, design, construction and plant operations across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, Environment of Care, and quality initiatives.
• Direct supervision of Chelsea and Livingston facilities directors and leadership development.
• Develop short and long-term goals, plans and budgets; monitor adherence and take corrective action.
• Negotiate with vendors for major equipment, maintenance contracts and supplies.
• Represent Trinity Health to government or accreditation bodies on Facilities and EOC matters.
• Participate in Trinity Health-wide planning and management committees.
